Kevin Brown is Vice President of Engineering at ABM. I still actively develop opportunities into self-funding solutions for our MUSH and Government clients but I also lead an excellent team of energy engineers and project developers scattered about the USA. I am a Licensed Professional Engineer concentrating on energy savings driven performance contracting.

Our focus is finding that “right” solution that balances a customer’s needs and wants with what can be funded through guaranteed energy savings. We are constantly looking for new energy conservation measures and better ways to bring value to our customers to help them fund their infrastructure needs.

Steve manages the day-to-day operations of the commissioning group, whose goals include improving the operation and performance of both new and existing buildings. The commissioning group aims for consistency and quality results, and is always looking for ways to improve its efficiency and showcase the benefits that it brings to our projects. That is accomplished through troubleshooting and solving problems with the design and construction teams, and then documenting projects as they are completed.

Among Steve’s accomplishments are forming the Energy Management Association. In addition to helping write the guidelines on the process, he was instrumental in developing a comprehensive exam to certify qualified providers.

Jim is president of Facility Commissioning Group in Lexington, Kentucky, a third-party independent commissioning provider firm founded in 1998 and solely dedicated to developing and implementing practical HVAC commissioning processes.

With 16 years of practical commissioning application experience, Jim is a Director and Past President of AABC Commissioning Group (ACG), and co-author of the ACG Commissioning Guideline for Building Owners, Design Professionals, and Commissioning Service Providers. He has 17 years of HVAC Test and Balance experienced and held a certified Test and Balance Engineer (TBE) with the Associated Air Balance Council (AABC).
