How McKinstry Uses CxAlloy to Track and Visualize Energy Savings Opportunities

Abstract:

McKinstry specializes in building optimization programs that focus on resource conservation and improving building operations across individual buildings and large campuses. These programs focus on collaborating with facilities staff to identify and implement equipment repairs and system improvements that enhance the ongoing operations of the buildings using three key modules of engagement: People, Process, and Performance. We will discuss some specific findings and examples of equipment repairs, controls improvements, and occupant engagement programs that have helped conserve resources and improve building performance. Discover how McKinstry is utilizing CxAlloy to track and manage findings and exploring new ways to visualize these savings opportunities while improving comfort and system reliability.

    Adam is currently a Lead Commissioning Engineer at McKinstry.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado and a Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP). His focus is on new construction commissioning (NCCx) and existing building commissioning (EBCx) across municipal facilities, universities, K-12 districts, and healthcare facilities and helping these buildings and building operators achieve and maintain efficient and sustainable facilities.

    Jacob Terry is based out of Atlanta, Georgia and has been working with the CxAlloy software since 2006. A self-taught programmer, he has a BA in Print Journalism, and an MBA from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is CxAlloy’s Director of Product Development and is focused on deploying software features that empower customers. Jacob spends most of his free time wrangling his four children, and occasionally finds time to play Nintendo.

    Marianna is currently a Building Energy Engineer at McKinstry. She is an Engineer In Training (EIT) in Colorado and a LEED Green Associate, and she focuses on existing building commissioning (EBCx) and Measurement and Verification (M&V). Her speciality lies in turning complex data into actionable opportunities and building collaborative relationships with clients to successfully implement solutions that increase building efficiency, improve occupant comfort, and empower operators.
