Understanding, Creating and Maintaining a Healthy Learning Environment

Abstract:

This will be a case study into understanding how the COVID 19 Pandemic raised the awareness of how the important a buildings “health” really is.  The presentation shall show the collaborative effort indicating how the H&W assessment helped raised the owner’s perspectives.

It will go through the entire process: Audit assessment, findings, decisions made, and implementation of corrections requiring measurement and verification. The presentation will illustrate, how the assessment and implementation created a better learning environment.

Learning Objectives:

  • How understanding that planning, hard work, and communication are the key ingredients to a successful project.
  • Discuss what the initial audit & the retro-commissioning uncovered & how that guided the process/project!
  • How this project has changed the owner’s outlook on energy and the building’s health & wellness-based projects, and how to proceed going forward.
  • Describe any lessons learned from the process that would have made the project better.
